A small studio for the things you need to say

We are building a small desktop studio around one question: did the second take make your intended point easier to hear?

A useful size of practice

Not a complete reinvention of your voice. A short explanation, a deliberate change, another recording. Then a new sentence to find out whether the change travels beyond the rehearsal.

The website gives you examples and exercises you can use now. The desktop product is still in development. There is no public download to recommend yet.

What guides the work

• The listener has a job. They might need to understand a decision, remember a contrast or know what happens next. A cue should serve that job.
• Your voice is not a personality test. Timing measurements cannot certify confidence, competence or charisma.
• Comfort matters. A take that sounds more deliberate but costs a lot of effort may not be a useful improvement.
• Private work should stay private. The desktop core is being built around local recording and analysis. Website privacy is a separate question, explained on its own page.

Who is behind it

Ptichi is independently developed and maintained. Its public website repository and project history show the work and provide a way to ask questions. “We” on this site is the project voice, not a claim of a research institute or a large coaching team.

What we still need to learn

Working software and a convincing illustration do not show that people learn from the product. Real microphone conditions, listener judgments, transfer to new material and later use still need evidence. We will publish those boundaries alongside results, including results that argue against a feature.

Start with one short exercise. You do not need to wait for the app to listen more carefully to a sentence.
